Through the Native Meadow

A vast rectangle of designed wilderness in the middle of Manhattan — 843 acres of meadow, woodland, lake, and rambling path laid out by Olmsted and Vaux in the 1850s. This walk crosses the Native Meadow in heavy rain, thunder rolling over the towers that ring the park.
